The Emergency Fund celebrates 35 years of service to Chicago with an Annual Gala and Afterparty on Friday, October 17th. The Emergency Fund helps alleviate poverty for individuals and families by providing direct financial assistance coupled with case management to fill immediate needs and affect long-term solutions - by helping women and children escape domestic violence, by prevent eviction when illness causes an extended leave of absence from work, and by maintaining housing for senior citizens living on fixed incomes.
