Getting outside and playing beach volleyball is a great way to spend the summer of 2009. Come and join thousands of people playing every night of the week at Montrose, North Avenue, and Oak Street Beaches. Soak up some sun after work, meet and network with some great people, and enjoy the game of volleyball on Chicago's Lakefront. Who could ask for anything more?

The CSSC Beach Volleyball Leagues are the World's Largest with over 20,000 players and over 1200 teams annually! If you're playing in the leagues you're playing in a Chicago institution, if you're not then now is the time to get in the game! Also, check back for upcoming information about our annual Volleywood Beach Volleyball Tournament taking place on Chicago's North Avenue Beach, July 11th!

Fees ( Payment options ): $200 -$525 per team
$95 -$100 individually
$3.50 processing fee; Refund policy
Fee Includes: Seven matches of regular season play followed by single elimination playoffs for qualifying teams, one Fruit of the Loom T-shirt per player on waiver (maximum 10 for 6's, 8 for 4's, and 4 for 2's), equipment, league administration, prizes for winners and specials at the sponsor bar.
Formats: Men's, women's, and co-ed leagues. 2 v. 2, 4 v. 4, and 6 v. 6. Recreational, Intermediate, Upper Intermediate, and Competitive leagues. Scoring: 3 games to 21 (rally score)

Join Season 2 of S3 Softball by yourself or with friends - Presented by Miller Lite

I'm the League Coordinator for a coed rec 16" summer softball league called Singles Softball Sundays (www.s3softball.com). It's a league for Chicago singles that is played at Oz Park in Lincoln Park on Sunday afternoons at noon. You can join either by yourself or with friends and we'll put you on a team with similarly aged people from your area. Season 2 is starting in early August. The entire league is sponsored by Miller Lite and Svedka, as well as Kendall's & Kelsey's bars on Lincoln Avenue, which are just 1/2 block walk from the fields where everyone goes after games for free pitchers and amazing food and drink specials. What is the deal with Beach VB courts in the water?

Our team played last night (6/3/09) CO-ED Rec 6's volleyball at 7:30pm on North Court 18. Our court was on a 15-20 degree slant and when a big wave came up, water actually came onto the court. Are you kidding me?? We pay over $500 for 7 games and you put your courts in that space. Unsafe and unfair to all involved. People on North Court 27 had the same issue and voiced concerns last night as well. There is no way anyone should have to play on those courts closest to the lake. Take care of your participants - without them you have no league!

Powerhitter looking for a volleyball teams!!!

Hello Everyone, I am looking to play A LOT of volleyball! I am open to Men's/Co-Ed 2's, 4's, and 6's. I am open to playing upper/ intermediate leagues or higher. I am use to playing 5-1, 6-2, or 6-3 offenses for 6's and fixed positions with 4's. I played in many Co-Ed Competitive VB leagues: Gurnee, Glenview, Grayslake, Wadsworth, Round Lake, and Libertyville. I briefly played on a B/BB Men's Volleyball Club as a power hitting LOH. In 4's I play LS with fixed positions, and 2's I play either position, S/MB or Hitter, depending on my partner. I just began playing 2's 2 summers ago, so Intermediate/Upper Intermediate is as high as I go for that! Prefer North Beach and Montrose, but open to all areas. Looking to play Competitively with a Recreational Attitude loved to jump on a team that gives it all during the game and likes to hangout afterwards. Looking forward to hearing from you!

Attention CSS patrons, "Lisa" was a socialogical test administered by an anonymous Chicagoland university's school of psychology designed to observe the influencial effects of images and representative genders utilized in an impersonal social community's environment (i.e. the CSS Internet Forum). The results of test's "Larry" (Impersonation of a young Male w/o picture) and "Lisa" (Impersonation of a young attractive female w/ picture) both seeking the same interests resulted in the following data: In the duration of 3 months "Larry" made 5 attempts to join a particular social/sporting event with zero requests for friends, one comment, and three messages. In the duration of 3 days "Lisa" made 1 attempt to join a particular social/sporting event with 10 requests for friends, 3 comments, and 9 messages (7male 2female). More information will be available once all of the data is compiled and a final debriefing is made, thank you all for your participation.

Is it fair to other volleyball leagues?

How do I get the same treatment Team Gallo has received? We paid the same fee but somehow they get an extra game (total of 8)? Hmmmmm? Why do they get a one up on the #1 spot? Is this a glitch or will all Friday teams receive and extra game as well?
